Camarilla comes from the Spanish cámara, a small room. Historically, it referred to the trusted few who advised leaders behind closed doors, where consequential decisions were made.
That idea defines our work.
The success of a complex project is often determined long before construction begins in a room where a small group of people must make informed decisions with imperfect information.
Camarilla was built to be in that room, and to be worth having there.

Meet Denis Shatokhin, founder of Camarilla and the perspective behind its hands-on approach to complex project delivery.
Experience shaped by complexity.
For more than fifteen years, Denis Shatokhin has worked across some of the most demanding environments in construction and development from live international airport terminals and high-rise residential towers to diplomatic, retail, mixed-use, and hospitality projects.
His experience includes work with Munich Airport, Schiphol Airport Group, AECOM, URW Westfield, and China Overseas America, as well as landmark projects such as the New Terminal One at JFK, JFK Terminal 8 Redevelopment, JFK Delta Redevelopment of Terminal 4, Newark Terminal A Redevelopment, 99 Hudson, and the Libyan Mission to the United Nations.
Camarilla was built from that experience and from the belief that the right judgment, applied at the right moment, can fundamentally change a project’s outcome.
