In April 2026, Terminal 8 became the first completed terminal redevelopment in the Port Authority's $19 billion transformation of JFK. Camarilla led the commercial program.
The $125 million redevelopment replaced the terminal's entire commercial offer for American Airlines and its partner carriers, opening with 60+ concepts built around Queens and New York rather than around an airport. The centerpiece is The Boroughs Food Hall by MERA, alongside the first U.S. airport locations of Eataly and Peach Palace by Momofuku, and duty free reimagined by Avolta's Dufry.
